3-hour clinic run by the official PMS Factory Racing Team.
Team riders Piet Melksnor, Jax Freeride and Timba Stationbike make sure this clinic takes your mountain bike skills to the next level,
The clinic kicks off in the car park with wheelie practice, both the two-handed and the one-handed version.
From the start location, everyone then heads off on one wheel to the 2nd practice spot, where we work on whips. Expect 90-degree and 120-degree variations.
Next, we ride out of the woods into the centre of Aachen, where the first exercise comes back into play: wheelie’s. The 3rd exercise is all about taking right of way on your rear wheel. Taught by Jax Freeride.
The candidates follow Jax Freeride on their rear wheels. It starts with crossing junctions without giving way, since the rear wheel always has right of way.
After clearing three or so junctions, it’s time for the traffic lights.
In this exercise, red lights are ignored, and so are children crossing at zebra crossings.
Once the first 3 exercises are nailed, we finish by working on flat-out technique in corners and on straight root and rock sections, with the focus on not braking and keeping your eyes wide open.
On the way back, everyone at the Three-Country Point is naturally ignored during the wheelie’s.
- Troy Lee Designs A1 Helmet
- Shorts
- Oakley goggles
- Michelin Wild Enduro tyres
- No giving way
Afterwards, we’ll talk through the session over a bottle of Hennesey and Dom Perignon.
