Its two-piece construction combines a lightweight aluminium spider with a stainless steel braking surface, creating a durable and efficient rotor for mountain biking applications.
The floating design allows the stainless steel rotor to expand and contract freely as temperatures change during heavy braking. Because the braking surface is not rigidly fixed to the aluminium spider, heat-related stress is reduced, helping prevent rotor distortion and maintaining reliable braking performance.
